THE CHURCH, JC3 IS CALLED TO TAKE THE LEAD IN HEALING

“Jesus went through all the towns and villages, teaching in their synagogues, proclaiming the good news of the kingdom and healing every disease and sickness.” Matthew 9:35

PRACTICAL STEPS WE CAN TAKE TO CARE FOR PEOPLE:

● C - CARE FOR AND SUPPORT PEOPLE WHO ARE STRUGGLING

“You must be compassionate, just as your Father is compassionate.” Luke 6:36 (NLT)

“I’m broken by their taunts, flat on my face, reduced to a nothing. I looked in vain for one friendly face. Not one. I couldn’t find one shoulder to cry on.” Psalm 69:20 (MSG)

“I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master’s business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you.” John 15:15 (NIV)

● H - HELP WITH PRACTICAL NEEDS

“If we are rich and see others in need, yet close our hearts against them, how can we claim that we love God?” 1 John 3:17 (GNT)

● U - UNLEASH VOLUNTEERS

● R- REMOVE THE STIGMA

“You have not taken care of the weak. You have not tended the sick or bound up the injured. You have not gone looking for those who have wandered away and are lost. Instead, you have ruled them with harshness and cruelty.” Ezekiel 34:4 (NLT)

“I will search for my lost ones who strayed away, and I will bring them safely home again. I will bandage the injured and strengthen the weak.” Ezekiel 34:16a (NLT)

● C - COLLABORATE WITH THE COMMUNITY

● H - OFFER HOPE

“I will transform the valley of trouble into a gateway of hope.” Hosea 2:15 (NLT)
