What is celebrate recovery?

Celebrate Recovery = HOPE

Our Celebrate Recovery at JC3 is a 12-step Biblically-based program that uses the Beatitudes to help men and women over 18 years old to heal from hurts, habits, and hang-ups. People come from all walks of life to heal from everything from childhood trauma, PTSD, mental illness, divorce, you name it, less than a third come for alcohol or drug addiction. Trained facilitators walk people through an in-depth program called a Step Study. This program was developed over 27 years ago at Saddleback Church in CA. You can read more about Celebrate Recovery here. We offer a safe place to address destructive or compulsive behaviors, unhealthy relationships, addictions (drugs, alcohol, food, pornography), anger, shame, codependency (addiction to people and control), past abuse and so much more. People can find freedom from any hurt, hang-up, or habit that is making their life unmanageable.

Groups Meeting

Before COVID-19, each week we met for fellowship and a meal. We then opened our sanctuary to worship and praise God. There are 25 lessons, a lesson is taken out of the Step Study books every other week, and on the other week, a testimony based on that lesson is shared. We break into smaller groups that are gender-specific, This time is Open Share. We have accountability partners and a sponsor to help us go through the Step Study.

Right now, The Men have just started meeting in person every other week at the church at 8:00 pm on Wednesday. For information on how you can be a part of a group, contact Micah Walker:804-944-1963

The Women are meeting on ZOOM for our OPEN SHARE, Celebrate Recovery meeting. We will be doing that until we can meet in person at the church in The Large Group at 7:00 pm. An announcement will be made when that is possible.  The Zoom is on  Wednesday night. Our meeting starts at 8:30, with check-in before 8:15.  For more information, please contact the women's ministry leader, Cathy Brandon: 757-707-2224
