Gratitude is the door to God’s presence.
Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, and into His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him, and bless His name. Psalm 100:4 NKJV
Gratitude brings freedom.
“But I will sacrifice to You with the voice of thanksgiving; I will pay what I have vowed. Salvation is of the LORD.” So the LORD spoke to the fish, and it vomited Jonah onto dry land. Jonah 2:9-10 NKJV
But at midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the prisoners were listening to them. Suddenly there was a great earthquake so that the foundations of the prison were shaken; immediately all the doors were opened and everyone’s chains were loosed. Acts 16:25-26 NKJV
Gratitude is a daily choice.
"Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful.” Col. 4:2
"Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God." Phil 4:6
Choosing gratitude means letting go of something else.
"Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you." 1 Thess. 5:18
