FINDING PEACE IN A WORLD OF DISAPPOINTMENTS

MISSING PEACE

Pastor Sam   1-31-21

Dear brothers and sisters, when troubles of any kind come your way, consider it an opportunity for great joy.  For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow.  So let it grow, for when your endurance is fully developed, you will be perfect and complete, needing nothing.   James 1:2-4 NLT

GOD CAN TURN MY DISAPPOINTMENTS INTO MOMENTS OF PEACE

1.  INTERRUPTIONS MAY BE MY GOD MOMEN

And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.   Romans 8:28

2. DISAPPOINTMENTS MAY BE A TEACHABLE MOMENT

For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow.  So let it grow, for when your endurance is fully developed you will be perfect and complete, needing nothing.

James1:3,4

3. TRUST GOD’S TIMING NO MATTER WHAT COMES MY WAY

Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding.  Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take. Proverbs 3:5,6

So don’t worry about these things, saying, What will we eat?  What will we drink?  What will we wear?  these things dominate the thoughts of unbelievers, but your heavenly Father already knows all your needs.  Seek The Kingdom of God above all else, live righteously, and he will give you everything you need. Matthew 6:31-33

You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in you, all whose thoughts are fixed on you!

Isaiah 26:3

Do not be anxious or worried about anything, but in everything [every circumstance and situation] by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, continue to make your [specific] requests known to God.  And the peace of God [that peace which reassures the heart, that peace] which transcends all understanding, [that peace which] stands guard over your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus [is yours].                            Philippians 4:6-7 AMP
