Who Do You Think You Are? Part 1

When You Don’t Feel Good Enough

May 25, 2025  Micah Walker

First things first, STOP believing the lies that have been defining you!

START believing God’s Truth!

For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.  Ephesians 2:10 NLT

Without Christ, you are not enough.

Once you were dead because of your disobedience and your many sins. 2You used to live in sin, just like the rest of the world, obeying the devil—the commander of the powers in the unseen world. ... 3All of us used to live that way, following the passionate desires and inclinations of our sinful nature. By our very nature we were subject to God’s anger, just like everyone else. Ephesians 2:1-3 NLT

Until you admit you’re a sinner, you won’t see your need for a savior.

If you continue to try to be your own Jesus, then JESUS NEVER CAN BE.

But God is so rich in mercy, and he loved us so much, 5that even though we were dead because of our sins, he gave us life when he raised Christ from the dead. (It is only by God’s grace that you have been saved!) Ephesians 2:4-5 NLT

For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago. Ephesians 2:10 NLT

With Christ, you are God’s masterpiece.

of Him for we are masterpiece

You aren’t saved by good works, but for good works.

For you [God] created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. 14I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. 15My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place, when I was woven together in the depths of the earth. 16Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.     Psalm 139:13-16 NIV

And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.        Romans 8:28 NIV

“I created a vision of David in my mind and simply carved away everything that was not David.” —Michelangelo

TALK IT OVER

Read Ephesians 2:10. God says you are His masterpiece. How does this truth make you feel? What does it tell you about God?

God has given all of us purpose. Before we were born, He set aside good things for us to do. What are some of the “good things” God has called you to do? Consider the big things and the small things.
