“18 All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: 19 that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting people’s sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation. 20 We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God. 21 God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.”  2 Corinthians 5:14-21 (NIV)

The Choice→  the opportunity where our faith journey can begin

“If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.  For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.  As Scripture says, “Anyone who believes in him will never be put to shame.”  For there is no difference between Jew and Gentile—the same Lord is Lord of all and richly blesses all who call on him, for, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” Romans 10:9-13 (NIV)

The Faith→

  • Believing in the Gospel as shown through the love of God in the birth, death, and resurrection of Jesus.
  • Sustaining trust in Him through every part of your life, and in the bigger aspect of His Kingdom.

“For we live by faith, not by sight.”  2 Corinthians 5:7 (NIV)

The Guide→

  • The Bible gives us insight to the nature of Jesus/God and helps provide attributes to our faith. (example through John 20:11-31, The Great Commission (Matthew 28:16-20), and Acts 1:6-8)
  • Our relationship with Jesus and daily walk with God

We have FAITH, we keep the FAITH, we live out the FAITH, and we share the FAITH as told by Jesus and as guided by the Holy Spirit.

The Disciple→ a person of faith in God who commits to being a lifelong learner and follower of Jesus.

  • Invitation- to a personal relationship with Christ
  • Challenge- to have an active role of being a part of His Kingdom plan through: gaining knowledge of the nature of Christ, being obedient to His call, and living a life of FAITH

The way in the life of faith, of being a disciple of Christ,  is the key to helping sustain life for His Kingdom and glory and for carrying THE mission (His mission) forward.

Three opportunities to take as a follower of Christ:

(1) Faithfully commit to something from the cards you were given today that stands out to you

(2) Have faith that He provides spiritual breakthrough in our lives…so regularly ask yourself these two questions: What maybe is God saying to me in my life? And, based on what He may be saying, what am I going to do about it?

(3) Boldly pray in faith for God to reveal who/what is to your left and who/what is to your right?

A prayer→ Ephesians 3:14-21
