GOD WANTS TO ANSWER YOUR PRAYERS! SO LET’S PRAY OFTEN!

Matthew 7:7-11 (NIV2011)
“Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened. “Which of you, if your son asks for bread, will give him a stone? 10  Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a snake?
If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him!

Some Biblical Criteria

  • Less striving, more asking

James 4:2 (NKJV)
You lust and do not have. You murder and covet and cannot obtain. You fight and war. Yet you do not have because you do not ask.

  • Don’t ask selfishly

James 4:3 (NIV2011)
When you ask, you do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, that you may spend what you get on your pleasures.

  • Ask for His Honor and Glory to be done

John 14:13 (NIV2011)
And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son.

  • Remain connected to Him and to His Word

John 15:5 (NIV2011)
“I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.
